MERRY W. MARCELIN

Merry W. Marcelin is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and has worked in the social service field for 10 years. Ms. Marcelin received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pace University in New York City and graduated with a Masters of Social Work from Barry University in Miami Shores, Miami. During her graduate education Ms. Marcelin obtained a wealth of knowledge in the field of School Social Work, Mental Health and Medical Social Work. Currently she is a full-time employee with a non for-profit agency, as a therapist and parenting coach servicing Haitian families throughout Palm Beach County. In addition to the individual work she conducts with clients, she also facilitates parenting seminars, as a certified Triple-P Parenting practionner, in schools and community agencies within the county. As a medical social worker, Merry worked as a Healthcare Representative for Broward Medical Center and Jackson Memorial, servicing patients with terminal illness in need of case management and additional financial support. She assisted these patients with the process of applying for Social Security Disability, due to their deteriorating health condition. She enjoys serving her community and welcomes the opportunity to provide guidance to beginning Social Workers as she feels this is something that could have made her journey into the professional arena easier.
